Privacy Policy
The protection of your personal data is important to us. We process your data exclusively on the basis of the legal provisions (GDPR, Austrian Data Protection Act). This policy informs you about the nature, scope and purpose of the processing as well as about your rights.

2. Accessing the website and server log files
This website is hosted by Vercel Inc. (340 S Lemon Ave #4133, Walnut, CA 91789, USA). When you access the site, the host automatically processes access data in server log files for delivery and technical security, in particular the shortened or full IP address, the date and time of access, the page accessed, the browser used and the operating system.
The legal basis is our legitimate interest in a secure and stable operation of the website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). A data processing agreement is in place with Vercel; for the transfer to the USA we rely on the Standard Contractual Clauses of the EU Commission.
3. Content and images (Storyblok)
The content and images of this website are managed and delivered through the content management and delivery system of Storyblok GmbH (Peter-Behrens-Platz 10, 4020 Linz, Austria). When images are loaded, your IP address is transmitted to the Storyblok delivery network for technical reasons. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in providing the content quickly and reliably (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
4. Fonts
The fonts used are served locally from our own server (self-hosted). No connections to third-party servers, such as Google Fonts, are established and no personal data is transmitted to third parties.
5. Embedded videos (Vimeo)
On some pages (for example „Filmography") we embed videos from Vimeo Inc. (330 West 34th Street, New York, NY 10001, USA). These videos are only loaded after you actively click „Load video". Before this click there is no connection to Vimeo and no data is transmitted to Vimeo.
Once you load a video, your browser establishes a connection to Vimeo's servers, transmitting your IP address among other data. We embed the videos in privacy-friendly mode („Do Not Track", dnt=1). We have no influence over the data processing carried out by Vimeo; you can find the details in Vimeo's privacy policy. The legal basis is your consent given by actively loading the video as well as our legitimate interest in an appealing presentation of our work (Art. 6(1)(a) and (f) GDPR). Vimeo privacy policy.
6. Reach measurement (Vercel Web Analytics)
For anonymous, cookieless statistics we use Vercel Web Analytics, a service provided by our host Vercel Inc. (340 S Lemon Ave #4133, Walnut, CA 91789, USA). No cookies are set, no personal profiles are created and no IP addresses are stored. Only aggregated information that cannot be traced back to individual persons is recorded, such as pages visited, approximate region, device used and browser.
The purpose of this processing is to understand how our website is used in order to improve content and usability. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in privacy-friendly reach measurement (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). As no cookies are set and no personal profiles are created, no consent is required for this.
7. Contacting us
If you contact us by email, we process the data you provide (name, email address, message) exclusively to handle your enquiry. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (pre-contractual measures) or Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (responding to your enquiry). We store this data for as long as it is required to process your enquiry and delete it afterwards, unless statutory retention obligations apply.
8. Links to social networks
We link to our profiles on Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, YouTube, Vimeo and X. These are simple links, not embedded plugins. Data is only transmitted to these providers once you actively click one of these links and open the respective page.
9. Cookies
For your visit to our website we do not set any cookies for marketing purposes. Our reach measurement (Vercel Web Analytics) also works without cookies. Technically necessary cookies may be set by embedded third-party content (for example Vimeo) as soon as you load a video.
10. Your rights
You have the right to access the data stored about you (Art. 15 GDPR), to rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and a right to object (Art. 21). You may withdraw any consent you have given at any time with effect for the future.
